Crayon Bible Privacy Policy
The short version: Crayon Bible collects no data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your children's progress, pictures and prayers stay on your own device. The microphone is off unless a grown-up turns it on, and nothing it hears is recorded, stored or sent.
This page covers the Crayon Bible app for iPhone and iPad, made by Klover Group LLC ("Klover Group", "we", "us").
What we collect
Nothing. Crayon Bible has no sign-in, no servers of ours, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that collects data. We never receive your children's names, progress, pictures or prayers.
What the app keeps on your device
- Each child's nickname, animal and mode (Little Lambs or Explorers), which a grown-up sets up.
- Lesson progress, verses learned, the family lamp, colored pictures in the Story Book, and prayers added to the Prayer Jar.
- Settings, such as voices and the microphone switch.
This stays in the app's own storage on the device. A grown-up can clear a child's data in the Grown-ups area, after the parent gate. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.
The microphone
"Say it for Pip" lets a child say the memory verse out loud. It is off until a grown-up turns it on. When it is on, the app only reads how loud the sound is, on the device, to know the child is speaking. It does not recognize words or voices, and nothing is recorded, stored or sent. You can turn it off in the app or in the iPhone Settings app.
Purchases
Crayon Bible Family is a subscription bought through Apple's App Store, behind the parent gate. Apple handles the payment, and we never receive payment details. The app checks the subscription with Apple on the device. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings.
Children's privacy
Crayon Bible is made for children and follows Apple's rules for the Kids category. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. There are no ads, no chat, and nothing a child can share. Links and purchases are behind a parent gate.
Changes to this policy
If a future version ever needs to send data off your device, for example to sync between your iPhone and iPad, we will update this page and say so clearly in the app before it happens. The "Last updated" date shows when this page last changed.
